The Math Handbook has been developed for students with Dyscalculia and others who are struggling with mathematics. The book is based upon the Singapore Primary Mathematics curriculum, as well as the International Math curriculum. More than twenty topics are covered and explained step by step through visual representation to convey mathematical concepts. It has been specially developed for: * Students who have been diagnosed with Dyscalculia; other terms may include Mathematics Learning Disability, or Mathematics Disorder * Students who have been diagnosed with Dyslexia; as according to research more than fifty percent of those experience difficulties with mathematics.

Rediscovering Mathematics is aimed at a general audience and addresses the question of how best to teach and study mathematics. The book attempts to bring the exciting and dynamic world of mathematics to a non-technical audience. Mathematics journal from Indiana University

Mathematics Magazine presents articles and notes on undergraduate mathematical topics in a lively expository style that appeals to students and faculty throughout the undergraduate years. The journal originally began in 1926 as a series of pamphlets to encourage membership in the Louisiana-Mississipi Section of the Mathematical Association of America, and soon evolved into the regional publication Mathematics News Letter. Beginning in 1935, the journal was published with the help of Louisiana State University and, as it began addressing larger issues in teaching math, was renamed National Mathematics Magazine. In 1947, the journal's title was shortened to Mathematics Magazine, and in 1960 it became an official publication of the Mathematical Association of America. Mathematics Magazine is published five times per year.

Overview: The focus of this website is to help in the transition from a paper oriented environment to one using OER materials with an emphasis in elementary and secondary school mathematics. The website's material is divided into five major topics: 1. Why OER materials? 2. The learner's environment - a world in change. 3. Mathematics past and present. 4. Exploring OER materials and 5. International mathematics education developments. An emphasis has been placed on linking to other OER materials to cover and expand on each topic.

This open textbook is being utilized in a college algebra course for undergraduate students majoring in early childhood education, business, or the liberal arts by William Pierpoint, M.S., at Channel Islands California State University. The open textbook uses a "functions first" approach which is useful for students who will encounter spreadsheets in their business and education careers. Switching to an open textbook was driven by the desire to find better content at a lower price. Most students access the open textbook in pdf format.
