APSU's Students for Secular Humanism (SSH)
SSH at APSU is a non-religious organization that promotes humanistic values and encourages the use of science and philosophy to approach challenging issues in our society and across the world. We offer our members a place to get involved with the community, share their own work and interests in science and academics, discuss new ideas, and, of course, have fun!
Since 1963, American Atheists has protected the absolute separation of religion from government, raised the profile of atheists and atheism in our nation’s public and political discourse, and educated Americans about atheism.
American Humanist Association
Through their defense of civil liberties and secular governance, outreach to the growing number of people without traditional religious faith, and a continued refinement and advancement of the humanist worldview, the American Humanist Association (AHA) strives to bring about a progressive society where being good without a god is an accepted and respected way to live life.
Black Nonbelievers (BN) connects with other Blacks (and allies) who are living free of religion and might otherwise be shunned by family and friends in a caring, friendly, and informative environment. Instead of accepting dogma, BN determine truth and morality through reason and evidence.
Center for Inquiry
The mission of the Center for Inquiry (CFI) is to foster a secular society based on reason, science, freedom of inquiry, and humanist values.
Freedom from Religion Foundation
The purposes of the Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF) are to promote the constitutional principle of separation of state and church, and to educate the public on matters relating to non-theism.
Secular Student Alliance
The Secular Student Alliance (SSA) is the only national organization dedicated to atheist, humanist, and other non-theist students.
Secular Woman, Inc. is a non-profit organization created to amplify the voice, presence, and influence of non-religious women.
