Nolting, T., Eaves, G., & Bliss, K. (2024). Phenomenological investigation of time to presentation, diagnosis, and treatment for Indiana farmers with prostate cancer [Virtual Poster Presentation]. 30th Annual Rural Health Association of Tennessee Conference.
At the 30th Annual Rural Health Association of Tennessee Conference, our research won in the Faculty Category for the 10th Annual Virtual Poster Contest. Our phenomenological study included 11 Indiana farmers with prostate cancer, exploring their experiences from pre- to post-treatment. Seven themes were identified, highlighting the importance of early detection through routine checkups, PSA testing, and biopsy, and the importance of provider characteristics and treatment side effects.
