RefWorks: Direct Export to new RefWorks (clear cache may be required for previous Legacy users)
When exporting from article databases (such as Academic OneFile or Academic Search Premier) into the new RefWorks, it may be necessary to clear your browser cache to prevent export into the older Legacy version.
Direct export example from Academic OneFile database:
RefWorks is planing to make a feature release in the near future which will allow you to choose which version of RefWorks you would like to import references. Until that occurs, please use the following procedure to clear you browser cache (If you have never used the old Legacy version of RefWorks, this step should not be required).
- In most computer-based web browsers, to open menus used to clear your cache, cookies, and history, press
Ctrl-Shift-Delete (Windows) or
- If this doesn't work, follow the appropriate instructions to clear the cache for your chosen web browser.
- Restart your browser
- Login to your account on the new RefWorks
- Click on the export button/link in your chosen database
