iPads at Woodward Library: iPad Loan Procedures

iPads loan policy

Eligibility and Loan Period

¨     The iPad can be checked out for a period of 21 days at the Access Services Desk.

¨     APSU students, faculty, and staff with a current APSU ID card and with a library patron account in good standing may check out the iPad. 

¨    Desk staff will hold the ID card with the signed iPad Loan Agreement Form at the Circulation Desk until the student returns the iPad.

¨     Each time an iPad is checked out, a borrower must read and sign the iPad Loan Agreement Form (see the form under Additional documents on the left).

¨   It is not allowed to check out the iPad for another person.

¨     The iPad is provided on a first-come first-serve basis; and the Library cannot guarantee that an iPad will be available for loan.  

¨     The iPad must be returned to a library staff member at the Access Services Desk; and you must not put it in the library book drops.

Replacement Fees

¨        The working condition of the iPad will be assessed before checkout and upon its return. 

¨       Users are responsible for damage to and/or loss or theft of checked out iPad and accessories and will pay replacement costs and processing fee.

¨       Replacement costs for the iPad and their accessories are listed below:

        o   iPad $450

        o   Case  $25

        o   USB Cable/Power Adaptor  $20

        o   Processing Fee $25 (whether it’s one item or all listed above)

Personal Data and Information

¨       Any apps or media purchased by the borrower during the loan period must be done with the borrower’s own funds, and is not the responsibility of Woodward Library or Austin Peay State University.

¨       Any content that has been added to an iPad while checked out will be deleted upon check-in and it will be reset to the factory settings. The content will be unrecoverable.
