Ask A Librarian: Students don't have to come to the Library to get help from a librarian. You may ask a librarian a question by telephone, email, text, online chat, or Instant Messenger service.
How to Guides include but are not limited to citing your sources, searching tips, evaluating sources and avoiding plagiarism that have been compiled by APSU's librarians to help you.
Remote Access allows faculty, staff, and currently registered students of Austin Peay State University to use library databases from home, work, or wherever they have an Internet connection. NOTE: Students must be registered for the current semester to use Remote Access. See the directions below:

If you're off campus you will see the Remote Access (Remote Patron Authentication) login screen with instructions prompting you for your User ID.
- Type in your Last name in the User Name (last name) box.
- Type in your A number in the Password (A number): box. Your A number is also known as your Banner ID or Student ID (example: A12345678).

You will be granted access to the database if you are a currently enrolled student or an Austin Peay State University employee.
