English 1020: Get Started

Go to the Citation Resources tab above for information about citing sources using MLA Style.

When you are off campus and you select a link to an online resource from the Woodward Library website, you will be prompted to provide your APSU single sign-on (OneStop) credentials to login.

If you have problems accessing resources from off campus, please call the Library’s Access Services Desk at 931-221-7978 or Ask the InfoHub. 

• Demonstrate that you are able to recognize, find, and use scholarly, peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and book chapters by including only these sources in your completed assignment;
  
  
• Demonstrate that you are able to to cite different types of sources by correctly citing all sources used in MLA style in your completed assignment;
  
  
• Demonstrate that you are able to distinguish among biographical information, reviews, and literary criticism; and
  
  
• Demonstrate that you are able to distinguish among primary, secondary, and tertiary literary sources.
